Our roots
Twenty years in the making.
This work did not start with a foundation. It started with a volunteer basketball coach at a local elementary school in Sacramento, showing up for kids who needed someone to believe in them.
From there it grew into a youth organization competing in Davis, with championship games played at Arco Arena (now Golden One Center). Along the way, we took kids on their first trips to pumpkin patches, celebrated their graduations, and watched them grow into young people who carry that belief forward.
Twenty years later, the mission is the same. The foundation makes it official, giving us the structure to reach more young people, build stronger programs, and deepen the impact we have been making all along.
